Ken,
The K2 uses high-side LO injection for the bands 17m and below, but for
15m and above low-side LO injection is used.
What that means is that the K2 'switches sidebands' at 15 meters and above.
That is the reason that the recommended filter/BFO setup is done on one
of the lower bands (40 meters is usually recommended), and the CW
filters are set below the filter center and the CWrev filters are set
higher than the filter center. The same goes for SSB - LSB is below the
filter center while USB is above *except* for the 15, 12 and 10 meter
bands where the sidebands are reversed. The firmware automatically
corrects for the shift, but you can see it in a waterfall display.
If you are using the RTTY filters, they are usually set with the
sidebands like those for CW and SSB, but the normal mode of operation is
with RTTYrev which will be the upper sideband set.
