K3: Carrier settings

Having question about one idea:

Is there some good reason to have wish for independent carrier
settings per mode?
I mean something like implemented in some other rigs as optional
carrier settings for USB R/T, LSB R/T, CW, CW-R  - usually in range
+-100Hz (or +-200Hz ?).

Opinion(-s)?
