K3 Configuration Reset

JayR
Is there a simple way to reset all the configuration parameters to the factory defaults
with out going through each item?

You can reset everything by the following:

Power off
Hold in shift knob while pressing power on switch unit it fully powers up

You will have to start over again just like you had just finished building it - so don't so this just for grins.

If you have an older configuration file saved you can reload it and be right back where you were when you saved the file. The firmware is not affected either way - kinda like a restore point in Win XP.

Good luck!

Perhaps I stated the question incorrectly.
Is there a list of the factory default parameters
in the configuration, so that one can compare the default
to the present setting.

Jay,

Yes, it is easier than a list.  Enter the menu and tap the DISP button -
the default setting will be displayed in the VFO B area.

When in the CONFIG mode, simply tap the DISP button and you will see the
"Default" value for the selected parameter. It is also in the manual for
each parameter.

G'day,

Yes, both within the radio and in the handbook "Menu Functions".
Sadly reading the handbook to find out how to use the radio and how
to connect it to the outside world is a minority pastime.
