K3 DC readings

This may be in archives but I could not find how to search archives on this list.


I am  to the DC checks and 12 v in is greater than 1.6 megs - charging caps

R36 to ground   is OK 175 vs 150 min.

BUt  U12 dc reg  output to ground is 422 ohms - says should be greater than 500 (but also says only slightly in some K3's)

and U13 to ground is greater than 5K  charging a cap. - They say greater than 125 ohms - big difference ???


Have checked and double checked connectors - no loose hardware etc .

Like to hear comments before I go any farther.

  Forget it - Brain lock - I reversed the readings when I wrote them in the manual and brain locked and I kept reversing U12 and U13.


  Thaks to a friend who has a K3 and kept his readings !!!!

  Now on to the rest of the tests. SN 7536.
