Re the erasing of voice memories in the DVR (M1-M4) as mentioned in an older posting, the only method that works here is to record 'blank' audio over the old recording, for all 14 seconds worth of memory. I did this here using ambient room noise. The other methods of erasure as suggested by others were tried, but didn't seem to work, including the tapping of REC, then M-n, then REC again.
When recording one voice memory over the top an an older memory, if the old voice recording is short enough, then the new recording over the top will suffice to erase the old. But if the older recording is long, then a new, short recording over the top, when played, will also include the tail-end of the longer voice memory. In that case, one will have to erase the longer recording first, as suggested above, before trying to record a new.
