I have no desire to start a debate about which logging program is best.
I have not been able to find a definitive list of the radios that DX4WIN supports. Is anyone successfully using DX4Win with a K3. Any problems or issues you encountered? I will second Doug. They work together with no issues. The first 2 radios
on the drop down list are K2 & K3. I usually run the rig control through LP-Pan which works just fine also. David,
DX4WIN works great with the K3. I use the K3 X4 file. I did have to make a couple of small changes to the rig file. You make those changes in DX4WIN. One small change keeps the K3 in CW Reverse mode (if desired). The other change corrects an incorrect command that reverses the filter settings between VFOs A and B. Finally, you have to make sure that you have VFO OFS set correctly within the K3 itself. These three small changes will make the K3 operate smoothly with DX4WIN. I can send you details on all three if you need them. Just email me direct. I've been using DX4WIN with my K3 for about 3 years now. I did have to
slightly modify the DX4WIN rig file to fix an issue with putting the radio in Split mode from packet spots, and I think also to fix an out-of-order set of commands that messed up the filter setting. I would be glad to share the updated file. 73...
