When I am using MT63 in MARS service (1 KHz wide), we use a center
frequency of 1KHz, so a pass band from 500 Hz to 1500 Hz; when I set date mode, and pick either the 2.7 KHz or 2.1 KHz filter, the data mode seems to cut off at a lower frequency of 1 KHz or so; is there an easy way to shift the pass band down where I want it? Dave,
Yes there is an easy way, just turn the SHIFT knob to set the center frequency (while adjusting, it is displayed in the VFO B area) - the default is 1500 Hz. The since you want to use a 1 kHz width, adjust the WIDTH knob until you see 1.00 in the VFO B display area. If the SHIFT and WIDTH LEDs are not illuminated, tap one of the knobs to switch from the LO - CUT - HI selection. If you use these adjustments frequently, they can be saved in one of the presets. 73, Don W3FPR On 4/4/2011 1:11 PM, David F.
