Seems sad that the reflector has become a place where people guess when their K3 might be shipped. Enthusiastic reports from FTs (although enjoyed) are no substitute for knowing what is going on.
Please can we have a regular statement of realistic dates for shipping. If it's not coming until Xmas I will go back to sleep - provided it is this Xmas and the exchange rate stays as favourable to us Gs as it is today! 73 Nick G3RWF _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Seconded.
Many amateurs (including myself) who have placed orders for the K3 have held off mailing whilst the development work, prototype and first shipments took place. Now the product is going out the door, I don't feel that it is unreasonable to expect fairly regular updates on the shipping status on, what is in the end a commercial product. 73 Stewart G3RXQ On Wed, 31 Oct 2007 09:46:14 -0000, Nick Henwood wrote: > Seems sad that the reflector has become a place where people guess when their > K3 might be shipped. Thirded. I actually defended Elecraft for the initial delays, when
they provided explanations of what was going on. The lack of visible signs of volume shipping give me cause to doubt whether the shipping date of early November given to me by Lisa a couple of weeks ago is still achievable. Apart from my (hopefully understandable) impatience to get my hands on the radio, there is also a practical concern that it might now end up being delivered when I am away. I think customers who put their faith in Elecraft by putting down a deposit six months ago deserve more than being kept in limbo about when they might receive their order. -- Julian, G4ILO K2 s/n: 392 K3 s/n: ??? Hi Everyone,
I've had my head down working out all the fun production issues ramping up K3 production. I planned to post a status update Monday, but have been too busy to do so until today. Things are definitely improving. I'll post status here and on the Elecraft list later today. 73, Eric WA6HHQ ------ Julian G4ILO wrote: > Thirded.
