K3 - Error loading DSP1 firmware

I am using K3 Utility version 1.4.10.11 and KUSB adapter. The K3 is serial
#5253.  I get the following message in the K3 Utility:

*DSP1 firmware load failed
Error Code xE2000046
Version number verification failed*

The K3 is showing
*E 000202
ERR DSE*

MCU and FPF were successfully loaded. Please help.

Dave, you may have a corrupted download file. Re-download the firmware files
and try again.

Hi Dave,

I also had a problem with firmware loads. On the recommendation of one of the list members, I switched from the KUSB (yes, I have the new version) to a TrippLite Keyspan USB-Serial adapter, and my firmware load problem went away. Some consumer-grade USB-Serial adapter chips can be unreliable. In my work, I'm familiar with commercial-grade adapters like MOXA NPort, which are more reliable and more expensive. Of course, YMMV.

I ended up using a different USB to serial adapter and re-downloaded the files. Works like a champ now!
