K3 FW 1.87 SSB output

John E. Reiser
With FW v.1.87 my K3 # 387 produces 70 watts peak out for 100 watts asked for.  In CW or tuning mode, I get 100 watts for 100 watts requested.  The meter is a Diamond SX-200.  I re-did the calibration of the K3 ar 5 and 50 watts.  The K3 and SX-200 agree.  FWIW

John,

We'll have an update shortly that fixes CONFIG:TXG VCE. I find that a
setting of 1.0 to 1.5 dB in this menu entry is needed with some 2.7 or
2.8 kHz crystal filters. The goal is to make voice peak power closer to
that of CW or TUNE. You can then fine-tune the level using the PWR
control.
