I just installed Version 4.12, everything went as it should, I
power-cycled the K3. In CONFIG:TX DVR, I set it to IND. Holding the CMP/PWR gives me the usual monitor tone [I'm on CW] adjustable by the knob. Holding it a second time turns the tone off but leaves the MON 60 n the display. Holding it multiple times after that does nothing, doesn't turn the tone on, doesn't change the display. A tap gets me back to normal. The release notes, if I'm reading them correctly, say that the second hold should switch to DVR xx, and subsequent holds should toggle back and forth between MON and DVR. This has to be pilot error. Any help? 73, Fred K6DGW - Northern California Contest Club - CU in the 2011 Cal QSO Party 1-2 Oct 2011 - www.cqp.org ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Just went through your setup. I have 4.12.
Doing a MON hold with TX DVR set to IND brings up MON tone which behaves normally. HOWEVER, doing a HOLD MON again changes nothing. A *tap* on CMP/PWR/MON turns off the monitor tone, and returns the display to normal. If I reset TX DVR to nor, and repeat, a HOLD *or* a tap turns off the monitor tone and returns the display to normal. Taken together with Fred's observation, this may indicate an unintended interaction. 73, Guy.
