K3 Firmware Download Utility

Just a quick question - can the new version of the Download Utility 1.1.12.22 be installed in the default Elecraft K3 Utility where old version 1.1.6.3 is located or should the old version be uninstalled first?

If you’re moving up in version numbers, for example as you’re doing today, then uninstall is not required before install.  Just close the K3 Utility before trying to replace it.

 

If for some reason you ever want to install an older version, or reinstall the same version, then you should uninstall first.
