Has anyone managed to get Fldigi for Windows version 3.12.3 working with their K3? The last version that worked was 3.11.5.
The new version just hangs, never appears on screen, and has to be terminated. If I clear the configuration folder it will start, but hangs when pointed at the K3.xml file. I have created debug logs and sent them to the developer but have never had a reply. Each time a new version comes out I hope that perhaps they did read my email and fixed it and wer just too busy to reply, but no joy. So if anyone is using the latest version perhaps you can tell me how, and I can fix it myself.

Julian,
which OS do you use? I'm using fldigi-3.12.3 under Linux (Gentoo, compiled from the sources) and it works fine. But I'm using the hamlib functions to control the transceiver and not RigCat... Julian,
You might try the fldigi support list, [hidden email]. Leigh/WA5ZNU > Has anyone managed to get Fldigi for Windows version 3.12.3 working with > their K3? The problem seems to be that I am using the Virtual Serial Port Emulator software to allow multiple programs such as KTune and KComm to control the K3 at the same time as Fldigi. Something has changed in the latest version of Fldigi so that it will no longer work with VSPE. Not even Hamlib will work with the virtual port, even if I close down all the other programs that were using it. If I close VSPE and set up Fldigi to use the real serial port then it works with either RigCAT or Hamlib.
This is probably of interest to anyone who uses KTune and/or KComm as I describe using VSPE to allow two or more programs to control the radio on my website. With Fldigi 3.12 you can't do that. I don't know if it is a matter of configuring VSPE differently or whether there is any other workaround, but that seems to be the situation at the moment. :(

Thank you. I've sent your problem report off to the fldigi development
