K3 HABC mod & stop press: WHAT DATE?

Wow....now I guess that I better check my board.

The K3 Appl Notes indicates that mode was incorporated around Jan 20
or S/N 211 +/- .  Mine is #295 and I took receipt on Jan 30 and I
believe it took 7 days to get here.

Now, your pdf file indicates radio prior to Feb 1 may need the mod.
It is a long way from s/n 211 to 295 and a long way from Jan 20 to Feb
1.

Any further input on this (I know, just take a look...better safe than
sorry).  Just curious about the apparent discrepancy.

Mine is S/N 222 and when I installed some filters the other day I checked and it did not appear to have this modification (couldnt spot a red LED anywhere.)

With my limited skills I'm not going to risk carrying out this mod which even the thru hole version involves removing an SMD component. If it wasn't for this reflector I wouldn't even know anything was wrong, so why risk damaging a working radio?
