K3-HRD CW keying issue fixed

I just sent a new version of K3 firmware to everyone who reported a
problem with HRD and K3 revision 3.41.

Turns out that HRD (Ham Radio Deluxe, a PC software app) polls for sub
receiver status periodically, even if one isn't installed, which can
result in long timeout delays. In the new revision, the status command
is still allowed at any time, but it won't cause timeouts.

If testing of the field-test revision goes well, we'll post it as a
beta release tomorrow morning.

Wayne

Wayne,

No SubRX here - I have tried HRD with the new firmware and have found no
problems here so far.  I will pound on it more later.

There are other issues with 3.41 and HRD that may be the same problem. I noticed tonight that the voice keyer is slow to release PTT at the end of a message. I shut down HRD and the problem went away. Also when tuning the display randomly stops for a short period then picks up again. Similarly when HRD is shut down this problem goes away.

I don't have the sub-rx installed.

Regards,
Paul.
