Will both the manual notch and auto notch remove the
audio from an (example S9 carrier) as well as removing
all indication of the carrier on the s-meter?
As I recall on the 756p, the manual notch affects the
AGC, the auto notch does not.
If you are monitoring an S2 CW signal at 14.030 using
the standard roofing filter at 2.7 khz with the dsp
filter at 600hz, and an S9 signal moves in at 14.031,
would you need to switch in a 500hz roofing filter to
keep the AGC from pumping at S9 at 14.030?
The narrower hard CW filters 500hz and less seem to
add some skirt noise as compared to 600hz and greater.
