[K3] Inexpensive SDR for K3 panoramic display?

I just ran across this web page http://zao.jp/radio/sft66db2/ describing an SDR kit that can be purchased for $20 from Japan. As standard it covers 40m but you can get a custom center frequency for an extra $10. It uses no SMD parts.

Would this be suitable for the IF output of the K3? What center frequency would you need?
