Hi Dave,
For the test I progammed the fan to max, after the test I put them back to auto. I would have mentioned it. Google brings up many sources for Elina. Here's one:

It's also worth checking sites like silentpcreview.com, buildsilentpc.com, endpcnoise.com, etc. for near-silent fans. .. ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

That's a 12MB (medium speed), not a 12LB (low speed). 3700 RPM max vs
2800 RPM max. Not the same thing. 73 -- Joe KB8AP On Jul 2, 2010, at 6:11 PM, Steve Ellington wrote: > Google brings up many sources for Elina. To compare apples to apples where it is important, compare the CFM
rating at low, medium and high speeds. The RPM is only indirectly related to the air moving capabilities. Things like blade shape, ducting, and other similar parameters all contribute to the fan efficiency and the amount of noise that is induced at any fan speed. 73, Don W3FPR Joe Planisky wrote: > That's a 12MB (medium speed), not a 12LB (low speed). 3700 RPM max vs > 2800 RPM max.
