[K3] K3 power reduction due to high swr

mikerodgerske5gbc
For the k3/10, I'm not exactly sure about high swr per say but I was having a problem a year ago with the lo power board on the 10w model.
Wayne told me at that time at that time
The low power board had so little problems that he hadn't got around to writing code for impedance mismatch.

There has been a lot of new products since then so I suspect it's still way down on the to do list.

If there is a failure with one of the fet's,
It will not pass the 5w calibration test and the first thing I noticed was the DVR quit working.

Sorry to be long winded, the short answer as far as I know is there is not yet swr foldback on K3/10.

At what point does the SWR have to rise up to before

the K3/10 output power begins to decrease?

I have been using a TS-830 which is not bothered by

SWR up to at least 3:1. I cannot get the tuner now so

will I be forced to run very low power if my SWR is 2

or 3 to 1? What about the K3/100?

My antennas are resonant fan dipoles (80, 40, 20, 17)

fed with 250 feet of 72 ohm cable TV coax.

Play me some fiddle, but no stinkin' violin!
