K3 KAT3 auto tune

Julian, G4ILO
One K3 question I'm interested in knowing the answer to: will it be
possible to assign different KAT3 behaviour to the two antenna
positions so that the KAT3 tunes automatically when you hit TUNE in
one position, but only transmits a carrier and displays the SWR in the
other? I'm thinking of the situation where one antenna has a remote
auto tuner or needs to be manually tuned.

With the K2 you have to toggle ANT A/B and then go into the menu and
switch the tuner between Auto and Cal S, which makes quick switching
between antennas impossible.

I want that functionality too - have an SG237 outside the shack for a long
wire and the Coax comes in to the rig - keep the RF out the shack.

Once upon a time a man whose axe was missing suspected his neighbour's son.
The boy walked like a thief, looked like a thief, and spoke like a thief.
But the man found his axe while digging in the valley, and the next time he
saw his neighbour's son, the boy walked, looked and spoke like any other
child. -Lao-tzu, philosopher (6th century BCE)

I'm fairly sure you can set the tuner to BYPASS for one antenna and have it operational for the other.  But I'm at work right now and cannot
verify.  If nobody else responds to this (it's more than likely they will), I will verify this evening and post the results.

The current firmware version makes ATU AUTO/BYPASS the same for both ANT1
and ANT2, but it could certainly be made sticky to each one.  When you get
home this evening you could add it to "The List".
