Is there any firmware in the works to get the K3/KAT500 ATU tune operation
to work like the K2 and KX3? I use the ATU quite often and always find it frustrating to have to hit TUNE and wait for the match, and then have to hit TUNE again to bring the rig back into receive. It's nice that all you have to do on the K2 and KX3 with the internal ATU's is hit the TUNE button and it finds a match and automatically switches back to receive when it's done. Any info would be appreciated. You shouldn't have to touch either tune button in normal operation. After a tuner "training session", the ATU should follow the frequency of your K3, recalling memories without any button presses at all.
Additional K3/KAT500 integration along the lines of your suggestion is "on the list", but we first implemented a frequency advisory message that makes manual button presses mostly unnecessary in normal operation. 73 de Dick, K6KR > On Jun 7, 2014, at 8:31, Mike Hagele AC6JA via Elecraft <[hidden email]> wrote: > > Is there any firmware in the works to get the K3/KAT500 ATU tune operation > to work like the K2 and KX3? > I use the ATU quite often and always find it frustrating to have to hit > TUNE and wait for the match, and then have to hit TUNE again to bring the rig > back into receive. > It's nice that all you have to do on the K2 and KX3 with the internal > ATU's is hit the TUNE button and it finds a match and automatically switches > back to receive when it's done. > Any info would be appreciated. > > Mike AC6JA > ______________________________________________________________ > Elecraft mailing list > Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft > Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm > Post: mailto:[hidden email] > > This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net > Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html > Message delivered to [hidden email] Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html Message delivered to [hidden email] |
