K3 - KUSB problem

Chris G3SJJ
I am unable to get my K3 talking to either my laptop or my PC using the
KUSB serial adapter. It is probably something I am or am not doing! The
K3 interfaces perfectly well with my PC on standard Comm1 serial port
and works with Logger32 general logger and N1MM contest logger, as well
as downloading firmware updates.

I have updated the driver to the latest one as recommended. I have
selected 4800 on the K3, plus 8N1 4800 on each computer and the logging
programs. The port number is the same and I have tried other ports also.
Some Virtual Ports are set by mHam Router and I have avoided these. In
Device Manager I can see "Proloific USB-to-Serial Comm Port and it
indicates everything is working OK.

Not sure where to go from here. Any ideas?

Chris,

You might try setting the data rate higher.  For some strange reason the
USB to serial adapters have more trouble working with slow data rates.
