I've put the bands in memories as suggested earlier, and this has helped me
jump around from band to band much easier. But I had an idea for
consideration. How about when you do direct keypad entry, if you input just
the band main frequency followed with a decimal point only (and Enter, of
course), then the radio could jump to the last frequency you were on in that
band. As an example:
FREQ ENT 2. (enter) for last used frequency in the 160 meter band.
FREQ ENT 4. (enter) for last used frequency in the 80 meter band.
FREQ ENT 7. (enter) for last used frequency in the 40 meter band.
FREQ ENT 10. (enter) for last used frequency in the 30 meter band.
FREQ ENT 14. (enter for last used frequency in the 20 meter band
FREQ ENT 18. (enter for last used frequency in the 17 meter band
FREQ ENT 21. (enter for last used frequency in the 15 meter band
FREQ ENT 24. (enter for last used frequency in the 12 meter band
FREQ ENT 29. (enter for last used frequency in the 10 meter band
FREQ ENT 50. (enter for last used frequency in the 6 meter band
Just an idea for a future possible change.
