[K3] LDG Z-11ProII as remote tuner with K3?

William Ravenel
I need a remote tuner setup for an inverted-L antenna and am considering a battery powered LDG Z-11ProII. I like the compact size and QRP capability of this tuner. Does anyone have any experience with this tuner used remotely or have any other suggestions that I should look into?

Thanks - Will, AI4VE

I've been using a Z11 Pro (not II) for the last 6 months or so at the
base of my 3/8 wave 160m inverted L. Since the L is 3/8 wave, I needed
to add a cap in series with the tuner output (can't remember if it was
220pf 0r 330pf), then into a broadband 1:1 transformer so the L is at DC
ground to prevent static buildup. It's worked quite well for me, just
last night I worked a VK3 from Virginia on 10m, 5W JT65....
