thi has happened three times:
I turn on the K3, the LEDs on the four knobs under the display light up, but the display stays dark and I cannot power it off with the power button. I have to disconnect the power, wait a little bit and re-connect the radio. It comes back to life when I power it on. What's happening? Hi,
I've started to notice this in the past couple of months. I turn the PSU off for a few seconds, then back on and all is OK. It has happened maybe a dozen times. Is that what you read on the K3 front panel display?

Just covering some bases... Put an AC voltmeter on the DC leads from the
switching supply and make sure any AC voltage is way way down in the millivolts. Light load, heavy load, no load. 73, Guy. G'day,
Less than 20mV in all circumstances as measured on my Fluke 8020B. Unfortunately I don't have a 'scope so I can't look at the frequency component. I used to have access to an earth stations worth of fancy test equipment so never bought my own! I really don't think it is a PSU issue. Something is stalling the logic, maybe not enough time for internal supplies or logic states to settle before ignition sequence starts.
