functions. At the time I did not pay enough attention and did not copy them down. I wonder if there is a comprehensive list somewhere for the K3 macros and also a list for macros used by the P3 in the data modes. I would like to assign some standard macro information to the F keys on the keyboard while in PSK31 and RTTY modes. Thanks for any help. Hi Roy,
Here is how I understand the ability to send macros from a PC. Perhaps others can add to or correct my response. In order to send a macro from your PC to the K3 and P3 you will need to be running a program that is already communicating with the K3 over a serial channel. You didn't mention how your are operating PSK and RTTY. Are you using a PC program or are you using the internal capabilities of the K3? If the latter and if you have the SVGA board in your P3 and have an external monitor and keyboard attached then I believe that capability is already available to you using the F keys on the external keyboard. Back to the PC. If you are running a program for PSK and RTTY then it would have to have the capability to send macros built into it. For example WriteLog and N1MM have that ability. I use WriteLog for CW and RTTY and I have macros set up on the F12 button and the multiply (asterisk) button of my PC keyboard. The F12 button activates the K3 auto spotting feature for CW and also centers the signal on the P3 screen when the P3 is in the Fixed Tune mode. The multiply (asterisk) button toggles the APF function when in CW and toggles the dual passband function when in RTTY. 73, Mike K2MK

Hi Mike,
Roy's asking about K3 macros, as described on pages 5 and 6 of the "K3 and KX3 Programmer's Reference". I don't know that there's a "definitive" list anywhere, but Google found some, including: http://www.ke7x.com/home/k3-macro-repository http://gm0elp.blogspot.com/2010/03/elecraft-k3-macros.html Seems like this would be a really good application for a wiki, but I think the Elecraft wiki that was around a few years ago died off ... There are some K3 macros in K3 Utility Help for the Command Tester page,
enough to get some ideas and to get started.
