Had a little scare this morning. Got up early and turned the K3 on (it was on 17 meters where I left it last night at shutdown). Rather than use the bandswitch, I just did a direct frequency entry for 1.808 MHz planning to call CQ on RTTY. The K3 did the QSY but was locked up at that point with 1.808.00 showing on the display and none of the buttons would work and neither the Main or Sub VFO's would tune. Tried to shut it off, but the power button was also locked - the Lock symbol wasn't showing. Had to cycle power by turning the power supply off. On re-powering the K3, everything worked normally.
Anyone run into this before? I AM using the test version of firmware, (MCU 4.30, FPL 1.14 and 2.7 in DSP 1 and 2) that turns QRQ off when you enter "Split" mode and wondering if a minor bug may have crept in during the coding of this version or possibly have been there and not discovered before? I tried to duplicate it but was unable to do so. It may have just been a random glitch.
