K3: Loose Headphone Washer

Has anyone else experienced a rattle where the thick headphone washer
(used as a spacer) between the K3 headphone jack and front panel doesn't
quite fill the void?  I have everything lined up perfectly, LED's, mic
connector fully seated, pots and panel screws.  Every time I move the
radio it sound like a part rattling around in there.  I can rattle that
washer with a small screwdriver and know for a fact it is the cause.  
Radio works perfectly.  Rattle drives me nuts.

Thanks, Terry! I'd been wondering what was rattling in my K3 but hadn't
found it yet. That was it. The connector was hanging up somewhere along its
length. I gently wiggled it and heard a small click as it slipped through.
Then I was able to tighten the knurled ring a little more and now it's fine.
I couldn’t tell if was hung up against the front panel itself or the front
panel board where it passes through. Probably the panel, maybe had a little
burr or a fleck of paint or something catching against a thread.

No, thank YOU Carl.  I had several emails that were beginning to make me
think I was hearing things, or made a serious mistake.  I could possibly
tighten the knurled ring a wee bit more but it already appears to be
compressing the front panel slightly.  I only used my fingers as directed,
but I worked hard at getting most of the washer rattling taken care of.  The
rest of the physical fit of the housing and components is SO darn good that
this has become a head scratcher.
