K3: Lost in Sub-RX Operation

WA6L

I've had the KRX3 installed for weeks, and it seemed to be working fine.  However, during the ARRL 10M contest, I decided to try diversity reception.

I have two antennas attaced to the ATU Ant1 and Ant2 ports.  The KRX3 is set for ATU.

When the SUB is on, and linked, the sub-receiver works fine when switched to MAIN.  I hear a signal in both ears.  When switched to AUX, the sub-receiver is totally deaf -- nothing -- no signal whatsoever.  BSET shows that the sub-receiver is using the other antenna (Ant1 or Ant2, depending on what the main receiver is using), but no signal.

So, I am lost.  Either I have something set wrong, or there is a problem with the KRX3.  I would appreciate any help or suggestions before I go the service route.

Thanks and 73,

John, WA6L

I found the problem.  After taking the cover off of the KRX3, I discovered that J92 was broken.  There was no contact and of course no AUX signal.  It appears that there was too much pressure between the KIO3 board and the cable attached to J92.

I have contacted Elecraft support for next steps.

Thanks to those who replied off-line.
