K3 MC-80 Mic tested

While visiting R&L Electronics I ran across a Kenwood MC-80 mic. It works
just fine with the K3 and required no wiring changes and I got one good
audio report. So now back to CW.

The MC-80 requires no wiring changes as long as you install
batteries in the base.  If you prefer to avoid batteries and
power the MC-80 from the radio, it will be necessary to move
the green wire from pin 5 to pin 6 in the mic plug.
