I've just checked mine with the same beta software and it appears to
work normally. I've checked with front panel headphones, configured for
the speaker to be disabled when phones are plugged in. Also tried CW and
SSB modes.

Hi folks,
Have recently loaded the latest Beta software (1.96) and all appears
well barring an issue with the AFX (bin) setting. See the text of my
message to Elecraft support below - wonder if anyone can check this
while the Aptos team are perhaps busy at Dayton.
