Hi folks,
Have recently loaded the latest Beta software (1.96) and all appears well barring an issue with the AFX (bin) setting. See the text of my message to Elecraft support below - wonder if anyone can check this while the Aptos team are perhaps busy at Dayton. <<<<<< Quote......... Just noticed a SEVERE drop in audio level when switching in AFX BIN while using the headphones; not totally silent but extremely low and clearly not right. Selecting one of the DELAY* settings produces normal audio levels. .........end quote >>>>>>>> -- 73, Stewart Rolfe, GW0ETF (K3 #145) _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Mine sounds perfectly normal in BIN. Levels are the same in any of the AFX
modes. Every now and then you feel like a right idiot and it's my turn now - just discovered the little selector switch on my headphones was set to 'MONO'....!!! Set it to 'STEREO' and all is absolutely fine - doh! Nevertheless it's interesting to see the difference between AFX <BIN> and <DELAY> when switching the phones from mono to stereo. Sorry for the bandwidth - off to grovel an email to Elecraft support now :-( Stewart Rolfe, GW0ETF (K3/100 145) |
