PS. Now I think it DID work!
After my attempt, I checked the Config menu. Ity says uC 1.78 / FW REV 5
The Utility says 1.78 IS the current MCU version.
So I think it worked, but the "waiting" statement is misleading and
the Utility gave me no confirmation of success.
Comments from OSX users welcome.
Meanwhile, back to the shack!
