The macro switch customization ability is highly attractive but, for this K3 newbie and non-engineer, a bit confusing. I've looked over the programmers' guide but, frankly, it would be really helpful if Wayne or someone at Elecraft would provide a step by step example in plain English for how to implement, say, one of the split options so that we less capable folks could learn the principles of what to type and where to type it. In other words, what I (and maybe some others?) need is "Macros for Dummies". Please?

I plan to put a number of macros into K3 Utility Help that can be used as
starting points. You'll be able to copy/paste the example macros. Each macro will come with an annotated description that explains what each command does. The details will require reference to the Programmer's Reference, you'll probably want to consult the programmer's reference description for those commands you change. The newer versions of the K3 Programmer's Reference have quite an introductory section that helps explain what do to and why you might want to do it.
