K3 Macros (help setting narrow filters on SSB)

Tony Fegan VE3QF
I am trying to set various filter bandwidths and center frequencies for
SSB using macros on the K3 Utility command tester.

I am having trouble understanding the "K2" and "K3" mode commands and
when they are appropriate. If I want to set a bandwidth of 1.6 kHz and I
have a 1.8 kHz roofing filter in position 4, how do I set it with a
center frequency of 1.2 kHz? I usually end up with the roofing filter
bandwidth and the default (no good for SSB) center frequency.

Linked with this is the fact that the low frequency is only adjustable
in 100 Hz steps but may be offset by 50 Hz depending on the bandwidth.
50 Hz makes a big difference at narrow audio bandwidths. It takes quite
a bit of juggling to change the low from say 500 Hz to 450 Hz.

Are there any macro filter examples or is there a tutorial anywhere?

I'm not sure if this will help Tony:  K31;FW0160;IS 1200; will get you 1.6Khz and 1.2Khz center frequency.  I would think that the 1.8Khz roofing filter should automatically be selected when you set the width to 1.6Khz, as my K3 does.

Thanks Barry,

Yes it works fine. I had it working before and then it stopped working
correctly. I thought I had tried all combinations! Now I can set macros
for some preset "Contour filters" using the sub-receiver. I haven't had
much time to play recently.
I hope to learn more about "K2" and "K3" modes.
