I have been looking at the microphone jack on the rear of the rig. Would
this give one the ability to use a standard computer headset in place of a standard microphone plugged into the front of the rig? _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Yes. You can use either mic port, but not both. There is a menu setting to
choose the mic source, front panel or rear panel. 73 Greg AB7R -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]]On Behalf Of Michael Koetje Sent: Friday, June 22, 2007 2:10 PM To: [hidden email] Subject: [Elecraft] K3 Mic Possibility I have been looking at the microphone jack on the rear of the rig. Mic and stereo phones worked just fine. 73, Lyle KK7P _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Yes, you turn the bias voltage on or disconnect it in the same menu that you use to select it. Front and rear have independent bias voltage toggles. Thus, the K3 supports Electret (but not 48V ones!) as well as dynamic. I've used both types. 73, Lyle KK7P _______________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Post to: [hidden email] You must be a subscriber to post to the list. Subscriber Info (Addr.
