K3 Mic Wiring

John Seney
Hi Folks:

Curious if the mic wiring for a K3 is the same as the
generic Icom HF rigs. I believe my K2 was like that.

Tnx es 73,

The K3 is not wired for "generic" Icom mikes.  It most closely resembles
Kenwood, except for the pin 5 and pin 6 thing, which apparently doesn't
alter compatibility.  If your K2 was wired like an Icom, it's because
someone did it that way.  The K2 allows you to wire for any pinout, and you
use jumpers and/or jumper pins accordingly internally.
