K3 - N1MM/MMTTY/FSK/CW Interface/Procedure for Quick Mode Switching with a Serial Port

Bill_N6MW
This is perhaps rather a special case and may have been addressed
elsewhere but others may be interested.  I developed an interface and
setup for the K3 to use N1MM and MMTTY for both FSK (not AFSK) and CW
using a true serial port.  This allows quick switching from FSK to CW
and back with no hardware changes in the N1MM DX mode. Radio control
requires another serial, or USB converted to serial, line of course.

Details are at http://n6mw.ehpes.com/.

Your interface can also be used with PTT control in CW by simply
setting the "Digital" port RTS to "PTT".  In addition, the three
transistor interface will work fine with a USB to serial converter
and MMTTY's EXTFSK driver.

The interface is essentially the same as documented by AA5AU on
his RTTY web site:  http://www.aa5au.com/rttyinterface.html
