Gang,
I'm trying to get the NB to function when I press the "SUB" button (sub-rx installed) on the K3 as I have a horrific power line noise here. The K3 NB does a great job on reducing the RFI but when I press the "SUB" button, I can hear the RFI noise in the headset but MAIN is ok. I tried using "BSET" but that doesn't do anything...am I missing something here? 73 Tom/k1tl... ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Try enabling the sub's NB with BSET active.

Sorry. Next time I'll read the entire email before shooting my mouth off.

Hi Tom,
Matt was actually correct. Activate BSet and then tap the NB button while BSet is displayed in the upper display. The NB identifier on the display should light up. I just tried and it works perfectly on my K3. Then, while BSet is still active you can hold the NB button to choose your desired settings. This also applies in an identical manner to NR. 73, Mike K2MK

True, that's the way I've done it. By 'shooting my mouth off', I meant that I didn't bother to read that Tom had already tried that. I've recommended he check his sub's NB settings while in BSET. He might have the NB level set low or OFF, but only for the sub.
