[K3] No RSP for some K3 commands

Alexander Sack
Hello Folks:

Simple question, when you send the Antenna Selection command (ANn;), I
notice that the K3 does not respond with any status code of whether it
succeeded or not.  Is this by design or just a bug?

uC 4.25
d1 2.71
d2 0
fl 1.14
dr 0

I would think it should return the current a status code explicitly OR
the current antenna selected (which then would allow an application to
test for success, etc.).

"ANn;" is a "SET" command. To see what the status is, you'd use the
"GET" version ("AN;").

Another possibility is to put the K3 into autoinfo mode by sending
"AI2;". After that, anytime you change the antenna selection either by
sending "ANn;" or by tapping ANT on the rig itself, an "ANn;" response
will be generated. This is true for many other commands as well. The
programmer's reference goes into much more detail.

Understood but that is a separate command sequence.

Wayne, thank you.  I for some reason missed the AI commend in the
first paragraph of the reference.  Mea culpa.  Let me investigate this
mode before I ask my second set of questions!  :-)

Small update;  Wayne that does fix it.  Oddly enough, it sends "ANn;"
twice as a response.
