Hello Folks:
Simple question, when you send the Antenna Selection command (ANn;), I notice that the K3 does not respond with any status code of whether it succeeded or not. Is this by design or just a bug? uC 4.25 d1 2.71 d2 0 fl 1.14 dr 0 I would think it should return the current a status code explicitly OR the current antenna selected (which then would allow an application to test for success, etc.). 73 -aps (KC2ZSX) ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

"ANn;" is a "SET" command. To see what the status is, you'd use the
"GET" version ("AN;"). Another possibility is to put the K3 into autoinfo mode by sending "AI2;". After that, anytime you change the antenna selection either by sending "ANn;" or by tapping ANT on the rig itself, an "ANn;" response will be generated. This is true for many other commands as well. The programmer's reference goes into much more detail. 73, Wayne N6KR On Apr 16, 2011, at 2:17 PM, Alexander Sack wrote: > Hello Folks: > > Simple question, when you send the Antenna Selection command (ANn;), I > notice that the K3 does not respond with any status code of whether it > succeeded or not. I for some reason missed the AI commend in the first paragraph of the reference. Mea culpa. Let me investigate this mode before I ask my second set of questions! :-) 73 -aps (KC2ZSX) ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Oddly enough, it sends "ANn;" twice as a response. -aps ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
