K3 - Noise on main RX while tuning second RX

Pete Smith N4ZR
Today, I happened to have my K3 with sub-RX on a totally dead 10M band,
and I noticed that when actively tuning the sub-
RX, there is a noticeable increase in white noise on the main RX. Level
is very low, but clearly noticeable on a quiet band.  Is this to be
expected?

Re: K3 - Noise on main RX while tuning second RX - update

Pete Smith N4ZR
Following K3KO's suggestion, I checked the mods on the website, and sure
enough, there was one in September 2009 that addressed noise heard on
some K3s when tuning.  From the description, it did not seem to address
noise on the main RX when tuning the sub-RX.  Mine does not make noise
on the main RX when tuning the main RX, so may not be the same cause.
If anyone reads this who was involved in developing that mod, I'd
appreciate any comment on the desirability of making the mod in my case.
