I thought I was doing OK, but I really need a K3 for dummies.
Background: Really new at this. Assembled my own K3 #1755 and it was a
blast. Built a new shack for it. My other HF rig is a Kenwood TS-430.
I am hear some but not much on the K3. I keep reading the manuals and
the Nifty book and go ahead two steps and back one or two.
Just installed the latest firmware, all went well. I knew a friend had
a sched on 14.043 and gave a listen and heard just the background
hiss . I figured bad sunspots etc. I turned on the 430 and bang all
kinds of CW, nothing on the K3. I switched antennas...still nothing.
So, though I am having fun I guess I am not getting the same pleasure
out of my K3 that everyone else is.
I did finally hear my friend on 14.043 but I guess filter adjusting is
my weak point.

I am at the point that I do not know what questions to ask. I believe I
did all the calibrations OK.
I wish there was a setup file to try
K3/10 w/ATU and filters 2.7 and 400
