The K3 and P3 work quite well with Rumlog. Connect things normally:
K3 <--> P3, P3 <—> USB Interface, USB Interface <—> Macintosh.
Then look at how the serial interface is configured for Rumlog. It most likely needs to be set to 38400bps to properly communicate with the P3/K3.
Most likely the problem is in the Rumlog configuration.
