When P3 is turned off, I start the K3 Utility, and I will see my text decode
data (both CW and PSK) in the VFO B window, and in the K3 Utility Terminal window. However, when the P3 is turned on, the data is still shown in the VFO B window, but does not show up on the K3 Utility Terminal screen. K3: 4.112 P3: 00.36 I thought I read something about this on the reflector recently, but I've been searching and can't find it. I don't remember if this was a firmware glitch to be fixed, or ...? Thanks gang! Currently the K3 Utility's text decode display does not work when the P3
is turned on. That is because it uses the old K3 "TT" (Text to Terminal) command which is not supported by the P3. K3 Utility is going to be modified to support the new "TB" (Buffered Text) command so that it can display text with the P3 connected. (TB actually works better than TT even without the P3.) I'm not sure what the time frame is for that. Perhaps Dick can comment when he returns from vacation. I have the same problem, except that I get no decode display
whatsoever on the K3 Terminal program even with the P3 off (except occasional lines of gibberish)! Display on the K3 VFO B is fine, as is text transmission from the K3 Terminal program to the K3. I am using the newer FTDI based Sabrent USB to serial adapter. I know I'll need to wait for the TB command implementation, but I'm suspicious that decode does not work even with the P3 off.
