K3 Power Supply Question

Corboy - Poteet
I am looking at a Daiwa SS330W power supply for the K3.  But I see
that there is a Comet SS330W also available.  Anyone know if these two
power supplies are exactly the same?

Related question: is there a better (affordable) brand (than the
Daiwa)?  eHam reviews of the Daiwa are good.

Power Supply Question

Charly
Why would anyone want to purchase anything except an Astron?

Proven world over, excellent safety inside... they just work...  for me: in
Nepal, Bhutan, Lao, Thailand, and USA.

My 30amp transformer style lasted 24 years until the front switch gave up.
I sold the four 115VAC style I had and bought 4  230VAC, 30amp switching
versions of Astron.  Clean.  73

and in VU4 Power Supply Question

Charly
Oh yea, I took my Astron to Andaman Island VU4 also, and it worked
flawlessly.

My 30 amp switching one with meters, puts out more than 12 VDC when the line
voltage at Mom's Thai house goes down to a measured 170VAC.

For a few dollars more........
