K3: Power not restored when swapping A/B and back

Martin-2
Elecrafters,
I intend to hook up an external XVTR, so i tried this: I set one VFO to
a 2m-frequency and PWR to the Milliwatt-range, set the other VFO to a
shortwave band and PWR to - say - 100 Watts, then swap A/B to make the
shortwave band VFO B and 2m VFO A.
When swapping the shortwave band back to A, the high PWR is not
restored. Holding XMIT outputs the preset PWR, 10 Watts in my case.
To restore PWR i need to crank up the PWR-knob from Milliwatts to high
PWR or use PFx.

FW 3.76
KXV3A
No Tuner

Other observation: When i switch on TEXT DECODE in CW, the AGC acts
slower. Is this intended? I can't speak for other modes, i haven't tried
yet.

Martin

Hi Martin,

Are you saying that CONFIG:PWR SET = PER-BAND is not working in that
situation?

Yes.  See page 33 in the manual, section titled "CW Text Decode Tips".
