K3: Problem with CM500 plugged into front panel through AD1K

Stan Rowe
Thanks to all that replied to my query.  Don, W3FPR, hit the nail on the
head that the adapter has a mono jack and the CM500 has a stereo plug.  The
tip and the ring of the CM500 mic plug are connected together, so when
plugged into a mono jack, the audio is shorted to the shell.  For now, at
least, I will keep the CM500 plugged into the rear phone and mic jack on the
K3.

I appreciate the expertise on this reflector.

K3: Problem with CM500 plugged into front panel through AD1K

I discovered the same thing. I still use the front connector, but now I have a stereo to mono adapter in the mic line plugged into the AD-1K. Works perfect.
