K3 Production firmware 4.86 tuning static

Guy Olinger K2AV
Noted that production firmware 4.86 was available.

After issue-free upgrade, noticed that on quiet 14 MHz band I now have tuning static. Is there anything on what to do about this?  It seemed to come with the upgrade.

Thanks and 73, Guy K2AV

Further results... issue fixed.

Info, these tests were all done with input terminated in 50 ohms at 14 MHz

Some fierce searchings around, MUCH better results with "tuning noise" instead of "tuning static" as the search term.

Reran the CONFIG:VCO MD calibration procedures for both main and sub RX. Then noticed that both RX were had been set to SPI=1, when I tapped keypad 1 after the calibrations. Left both at SPI=2 and quit CONFIG and powered off. Upon power up noise was now way down on both RX. Before was S1, now barely discernable at 14 Mhz. Still low level discernable at 50 MHz as before firmware upgrade.

Does upgrading to 4.86 reset these parameters and require VCO MD calibration and setting/resetting SPI=2?

73 and Thanks, Guy K2AV
