K3 RTTY Delay on RX

Ed Gray W0SD
I have a delay after I stop sending RTTY before going into RX.  It is
just long enough to be annoying. I am using Writelog.
I have it on one K3 and not another.  I am using version 4.51 on both K3's.

I have read and tried everything I can think of with no success.

Anyone know how to get it to drop out right away?

Thanks,

Ed W0SD

Are you using AFSK with VOX?  If so, is your VOX Delay setting longer on the
K3 that's giving you the problem?

Please disregard my response to your first email.  I sent it before seeing
your next email saying you are using FSK-D.

I noticed the same problem since the last update. I just thought it was me.
I have not been able to pin point the cause either. Glad I am not alone.

Are you using PTT via RS-232 command?  I have noticed an
increasing number of K3 hang-ups here with that method, with the
rig left in transmit, until I push another F-key.  Finally,
today, I had enough, and switched to PTT via LPT.  There were no
hangups during the two RTTY Roundup practices, and the final tail
seems substantially shorter, and more consistent.

Re: K3 RTTY Delay on RX

Ed Gray W0SD
I don't have LPT on this computer.  I have the RS-232 PTT in the K3 menu
set to OFF OFF.  The serial # is #1037.  I am wondering if there was a
change made in the pull up resistors as a little while ago I removed my
PTT IN lead from my remote microbit box which was turned off and it
cured the problem. I don't have time to pursue it any more now as I
burned up a horrible amount of time today trying to figure it out.  I
don't have anything hooked to the ACC jack other than what I need for
FSK RTTY.  I will pursue it next week.

We had a problem like his with the DVK out of the computer during phone
SS in Nov.  I think Joe W0DB  who operated from here had something
plugged into PTT in for SO2R but I have to confirm that with him.  More
next week.

Thanks Dave!
